Collage pieces

Most Collage work I do ends up becoming part of an installation. I rarely produce collage videos on their own, but prefer to situate and integrate them in a more ‘technologically developed’ environment. The pieces below are one-offs, works in progress, or currently ‘homeless’ pieces.

The Hippy Analog Portapak Video Revolution (Momus), 2007

In 2007, I met Nick Currie (Momus) whilst exhibiting some sound art in Berlin. Shortly after that, I made this video for one of his best ‘lost’ songs. It’s a collage and, in keeping with the song’s spirit and subject matter, was made using found footage and own analog recordings, initially edited on VHS tape.

Study Nº 4 (2018)
Work in progress: Study 25 (2018)

In 2018 I began tentative aesthetic experiments or ‘studies’ with a small amount of found VHS tape footage. Nº 25 was one of several about the Brexit process.
